FRPS Visual Art Panel
Title - 'Metamorphosis of Stardust - The Story of Creation'
Visual Art Category - Statement of Intent
The panel illustrates the story of creation from the origin of the cosmos to the evolution of life on earth. It begins with the Big Bang, 13.8 billion years ago, the creation of new stars from a nebula, the birth of planet earth, and the shaping of our physical landscape. Subsequent images reflect the diversity of life in order of first appearance, from single-celled organisms to representatives of some of the major aquatic and terrestrial groups. Everything in our world ultimately originates from and is the result of the metamorphosis of star-dust.
These images of creation were inspired by and derived from the colours, shapes and textures made by rust, rivets and crazed running-paint on the metal gates of an old scrap-yard. Detailed macro-photographs provided a 'palette' used to visualize and represent all aspects of nature.

The Fellowship is achieved with a unique panel of 20 images showing a strong personal style accompanied by a brief statement of intent. In 2014 'Metamorphosis of Stardust - The Story of Creation' was published as a Blurb Book and is available at http://www.blurb.co.uk/b/5541573-metamorphosis-of-stardust-the-story-of-creation.
